There are many types of health indicators out there but which is the best?
Health indicators are great place to see where you start and where your going to be. There is not one best health indicator but together it’s a great way to see where you are at. There are two types of goals/indicators. The objective and the subjective. Objective is numbers oriented and subjective is more feelings base. Here are some objective and subjective indicators......

Now we are going to go over the pros or cons of each indicator.
Objective indicators
weight- this is the health indicator talked about a lot. Yes this can help but without knowing someone’s body percent fat they could be consider obese and not healthy. For example I weigh over 200 lbs but my other health indicators are good. So if I just cared about weight, I would feel horrible. I have always carried more weight than the way I look. This is where many people get stuck mentally. You must see weight as one tool in your tool belt.
Body percent fat is probably the single best health indicator for most people. Because it’s considered your lean mass vs your fat mass. It is way more superior than BMI. In most research studies people with a better body percent fat healed and recovery better after illness, and surgery. There are different ways to measure percent fat. You have bio electric impudence, skin folds, under water weighing, and a bod pod. Skin fold and bio electric impedance is cheap while the other 2 are more expensive. The only thing is if you choose one method stick to that method. Also numbers don't normally change dramatically month to month so be patient. Look at the long term trend and not the short term.
Inches and clothing size are also a great indicator. It helps show where you are gaining and loosing weight. Places to take measurements would be your neck, shoulders, chest, waist, hips thigh and arms.
Subjective indicators
libido- this one is my favorite because I really can tell if I am eating well or not with this. We are made to procreate to extend human life. We place importance of birth through human history. If you have a higher libido than normal it could be a sign you are healthier . But how do you measure this. Just take how you feel. If you normally feel like it 1 time a week and it jumps to 3 times a week you are getting healthier.
Energy- energy throughout the day makes a huge difference. You shouldn’t have as many peaks and valleys throughout the day. Your body has a natural rhythm throughout the day. If your energy level stays consistent then you are probably doing things correctly. Usually there is one dip throughout the day or none.
How clothing fits and pictures help. You can mentally feel better and understand where you need help. By taking pictures you can target an area and build muscle where you want to get muscle. This also holds true for how your clothing fits.
